DJ CROSSEN - DB
DUDLEY HIGH SCHOOL - NORTH CAROLINA
2018 Defensive Back DJ Crossen has had a great post season recruiting. He set up his 2016 season by having some great performances at College Camps. It was highlighted by a 4.45 40 yard dash at the University of Tennessee. He followed that up with a state championship season and a great performance in that game. It brought about national attention as he currently has 13 offers.
His offers are Kentucky, UNC, Virginia Tech, Duke, East Carolina, Louisville, Maryland, NC State, Purdue, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Wake Forest.
DJ is a solid and aggressive bump n run corner. He has the versatility and size to play safety or CB. He is a very smart young man with a 4.2 GPA. He plays with an edge that exudes confidence but not arrogance. He reacts very well to the ball when it is in the air and is aggressive enough to compete against some of the best receivers.
DJ will need to work on his ability to instantly flip his hips while in transition with a WR. He also will need to work on staying low in his backpedal to drive on the ball. DJ will need to improve his tackling if he desires to make the switch to safety on the next level
DJ Plans on working on defensive back drills through pick 6 Academy. He wants to show his versatility at his upcoming summer camps as well as his ability to compete with the best WR’s in the land.
THE BOTTOM LINE
DJ will be an extremely talented DB on the next level as he continues to polish his skills at the position. I would not be surprised if he was an all-conference performer wherever he chooses to go to school.
